Blizzard Mountain features a snow tubing hill and snow play area at Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort on Highway 50 near Echo Summit. The tubing hill has two snow tubing lanes with a deck at the top for easy launching.
The slope is only moderately steep but still makes for an enjoyable ride. A gradual run-out area at the bottom allows sliders to glide to an easy stop. Tubes and riders are pulled gently to the top of the hill by a circulating cable tow. Friendly attendants keep a close eye on everyone, ensuring a safe and pleasurable experience. Children under 42 inches need to be accompanied by an adult.
Blizzard Mountain has a snow play area and a smaller hill that guests can ride down with their own sliding devices. Ticket sales are limited to avoid overcrowding, so plan to arrive early.

Drive on Highway 50 a couple of miles west of Echo Summit and watch for turnoff to Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort. As you approach the ski resort, bear to the left to parking lot E.
Blizzard Mountain sells tubing tickets for 1½-hour sessions. A Tubing ticket includes use of the lift and tube hill, tube rental, and all-day access to the snow play area. Separate Snow Play tickets allow access to Blizzard Mountain's snow play area and first-come, first-served access to sleds for the sledding hill. The number of 1½-hour lift tickets sold is limited, so arrive early to ensure your time slot. Children under 42" are free with paying adult.
1½-hour Tubing Sessions begin at 10:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:00 PM, and 2:30 PM. The last tickers are sold at 3:00 PM.

One of California's Sno-Parks is located at Echo Summit on the north side of Highway 50. A permit is required to park at the Sno-Park from November 1 through May 30. Day permits are $15, season permits are $40.
The Echo Summit Sno-Park is popular with cross-country skiers and dog sled mushers. The area is also designated for snow play. No snowmobiles are allowed. A restroom is available there.
