Adventure Mountain is a tubing and snow play resort along Highway 50 at Echo Summit, only 11 miles from South Lake Tahoe. The resort features 18 machine-groomed sledding runs as well as ample space for playing in the snow. Their mini-runs are the perfect size for kids under 36". Adventure Mountain provides tubes for use on their tubing hill, included as part of each 2-hour tubing session.
Participants hike to the top of the sledding runs. Outside equipment is not permitted on the tubing hill.

Drive up Highway 50 to Echo Summit and watch for the blue and white Adventure Mountain sign on the south side of the highway.
Adventure Mountain charges each vehicle an entrance fee, which covers "resort entrance fee, parking, and use of snow play areas."
Only cash is accepted at the entrance gate. Credit cards are accepted in other parts of the resort. The number of vehicles admitted is limited. Each hour as space becomes available, additional vehicles will be admitted.

One of California's Sno-Parks is located at Echo Summit across Highway 50 from Adventure Mountain. A permit is required to park at the Sno-Park from November 1 through May 30. Day permits are $15, season permits are $40.
The Echo Summit Sno-Park is popular with cross-country skiers and dog sled mushers. The area is also designated for snow play. No snowmobiles are allowed. A restroom is available there.
