Alta Sierra Tube Park
Alta Sierra Tube Park is part of the Alta Sierra Ski Resort east of Bakersfield. The tube hill offers a groomed slope designed for safety and enjoyment.
Riders take advantage of the tow lift which delivers them back to the top of the slope while they relax in their tubes. A Warming Hut is available for sliders to take a break and enjoy a hot chocolate, coffee, burgers, and more. Tables are set up both inside and outdoors. Outside food is permitted.

Directions
From Bakersfield drive up Highway 178 to Isabella Lake and then Highway 155 to Wofford Heights. Continue to follow Highway 155 northwest to the community of Alta Sierra. Just beyond, at Greenhorn Summit, turn left onto Rancheria Road and follow it 3 miles to Alta Sierra Ski Resort.
Things to Know
- Alta Sierra recommends guests not to come from Bakersfield on Rancheria Road.
- Guests are encouraged to arrive no later than 10:00 AM to be sure of a parking spot close to the hill.
- The resort offers a small selection of helmets for rent on a first-come, first-served basis.
- No pets are allowed on the mountain.

Alta Sierra Tubing Prices
Tickets for use of the Tube Park are offered for 2-hour sessions. Tickets include the use of tubes. The ticket office is located at the foot of the mountain.
